The short answer
If you want a reference, something to look a number up in, the established apps have more entries and years of refinement. Angel Numbers Numerology has the most ratings of the apps here. Be prepared for advertising.
If you want a reminder, something that tells you when your number arrives rather than what it means, that is a different product and there is much less choice. Orbdit is built for that job and is the app we make.
If you want both without ads, no app on this list does it perfectly. That is an honest state of the category rather than a sales line.
If you want a reference
Angel Numbers Numerology is the biggest by ratings, with well over a thousand, though Angel Number Signs has been on the App Store about two years longer. Its reviews are consistently positive about the content and consistently negative about the advertising, with many people reporting ads between every lookup and some reporting ads continuing after paying to remove them.
Angel Number Signs is the other long-running option, rated similarly well and less complained about on ads. It is a quieter app and has been updated more recently.
Angel Numbers & Meanings is smaller and rated highly by the small number of people who have used it, though it has not been updated in some time.
If you want a reminder
This is a smaller field. Most angel number apps are lookup tools: you go to them. An app that comes to you at 11:11 has to do something different, and only a handful try.
Orbdit, our app, sets a sync window at a time you choose and taps you when it arrives, with a countdown on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island. You then have three minutes to write a wish, which is saved and can be looked back at. It also carries a number library and a sightings log with photos.
Synchra and Halo are newer entries in the same space. Both launched recently with very few ratings, so there is not yet enough public feedback to judge them fairly.
Where Orbdit honestly belongs
Orbdit is new. At the time of writing it has no ratings at all, which is a real disadvantage against apps with years of feedback behind them, and you should weigh it. A brand new app is an unknown quantity regardless of who wrote the page you are reading.
What Orbdit does better is narrow: the timed tap, the countdown, the three-minute window, and the fact that it carries no advertising. What it does worse is breadth. The established reference apps cover more numbers in more depth.
If you already have a reference app you like and you only want something to catch the moment, the two work together. There is no reason to pick one.
One thing worth knowing about the category
Read the one and two star reviews of any angel number app before you download it. Across the older apps in this category the same complaint repeats: advertising between every lookup, long ads that take longer than the content, and in several cases ads continuing after a purchase intended to remove them.
One reviewer put the category's problem plainly, saying they had paid for something they could find on Google for free. They were right, which is why the meanings on this site are free to read and always will be. The app is for the part a web page cannot do.
